The Tale of A Cowgirl

I ambled into the old Saloon and sat where my Daddy sat. I remember one day a pretty lady passing by and he said, “One day you’ll look like that.”

I rolled my eyes and pulled down my hat, kicking dirt in the old Saloon. I knew in my heart no lady would I be, just a lonesome old cowgirl running wild and free.

I looked at my Daddy as I dug my heels in the sand and looked him square in the eye. I said, “I ain’t no lady, nor will I ever be. I want to grow up and ride with the wind where ever it takes me.
As I entered into the old Saloon, I sat in my Daddy’s seat. I looked around as I felt his hand, and his presence surround me.

Digging my heels in the sand, a tear welled up as I wiped it with my sleeve. I am my Daddy’s girl a little wiser you can see. I am all grown up, without my Daddy beside me.

Maybe it was sand in my eye cause crying just wasn’t me. I felt my Daddy pat my hand as I stood up to leave, knowing in my heart that he was still proud of me.

As I swagger out the old Saloon I nod my head to say, “I lived my life like a man, no lady could I be, but in my heart and Soul, I knew my Daddy still loved me.

This story was written after visiting Ghost Town in New Mexico and watching a play between a brother and sister team that robbed Banks back in the Old Days and the Sheriff had a shoot-out with them, killing the brother. The sister was a tom-boy and rough as they come. She played her part quite admiringly, sticking by her brothers side as she shot the Sheriff and killed him. I got into the RV and this poem came to me. I am partial to this poem because it sounds so true to someone's life that lived back in the Cowboy days.

A Handsome Cowboy

I met a man just by chance and wondered who he was.
His get up was a little strange from what I had known.
He had on tight black jeans, and tall black boots with a hat to match as well.
His shirt was black with roses red which I found to be quite strange.

He strutted in unaware that I was checking out his style.
He was so polite, and gentle as no man I had ever met, yet I knew not his name.
He returned day after day and we talked, although he dressed just the same.

He had no horse, so ‘Cowboy’ was not his name.
His silver car was a sleek Trans Am with an Eagle on the hood.
It matched his personality as he far outstood any other man that I had known.

Though not understanding his attire, his attitude was grand. He didn’t need a horse or a Trans Am, just to hold my hand.
He had already won my heart with the gentleness of a colt. No man had ever been so kind, nor made me feel more loved.

I found hope in my heart that he would be my man.
We danced the dance of friendly words as we fell madly in love.
The time was quite short before we were sure, that we were meant for one another from Heaven above.

Now, I have that handsome Cowboy without the hat that he wore.
Though in his heart he dearly loved it for what it stood for; freedom to dress and be as free as one whom he truly was. Though giving up his tall black hat showed me his love.

But I lassoed in my Cowboy with all of my charm, and married him quite quickly, without twisting his arm.
Our love has grown and withstood the test of time.

Twenty-five years we have loved as one, and ‘Cowboy’ could be his name, for we have two Arabians oh so fine; who are such a delight to ride.

So, for all the distaste for the clothes he wore, he still is mine.
With a little taming, he now has a name.
Not Dicky that his family called him, that had to be changed.

Combined with mine, we are intertwined as lovers just the same. If you want to check us out, just call us by name, Tammy and Richard Lesley, we always will remain.

He is my handsome Cowboy and protector just as well; my love for him is untamed and will never fail.
Our journey on this trail has been one of love walking hand in hand as we grow from our love.

With love in our eyes and a smile on our face we have grown wise to the ways of the world, working day to day to meet deadlines and let life unfurl.

Just hold on for today no matter what comes, and night time will gently unfold as you hold me in your arms.
Love is what matters when you are with the one you love, especially the one you thought you’d never meet and become as one.

He has my heart in his hand and his love I hold dear, for without his reassurance, I would be no one.
I hold his love in my heart while he is away at work, and pray for each moment that he return safely each day.

I love you Richard with all my heart, and hold our memories dear, for without our love for the world and all the things we’ve done, I am sure that our love would not have been so interesting and fun.

Thank you for the memories of each and every day.
Thank you for the love we share, for without you dear, I would not be the same.

The songs that I hold dear to my heart totally describe you in my heart. ‘Unforgettable’ and ‘Unchained Melodies’ are our songs and will always be.
'Unforgettable’ that’s what you are though near or far.

I will never forget our love and thank God above for giving me such peace in this place and time.
Perhaps in our next life, we will be the same and come back as one again.
I will be holding my breath and calling out his name.

For in the future dear, I wouldn’t change a thing except to promise never to change our names.
Does love last forever, or does it fade away?

Ask me ten lifetimes from now and I bet I will say,”He is my Cowboy, though Richard is his name.
There isn’t a thing he can’t do, so add Genius to his name.”

Living life together has been a game, that I loved playing and praising his name. One day I will make him proud of me as I sing our song, and write the words to describe the meaning of love to the World.

Looking back I wonder where I would be if we had not met and where I would be.
Would I be as happy as I am or would I have made a wrong choice and married a man that would have been half the man that he is today?

The Lonesome Cowboy's Trail

As I rode through the dessert all around me, were cactus and sand with lizards and scorpions scurrying to avoid me. With the sun in my eyes and the heat on my back, I was looking for a place to settle in for the night.

A long scaly rattlesnake with piercing eyes was lying underneath an old oak tree. He rattled his tail as I started to stop. I looked around and there was no outcrop of rock to hide me from the sun.

I needed a rest, and the sun glaring in my eyes just wouldn’t stop. This was the place I’d have to camp for the night, with no room for the snake and me throughout the night. I hated to vie for a fight but there was no choice with the hot sand around me. I knew that it had to be his life or mine to lose, you see.

His frightening rattled warning was enough for me; that shady spot I so desperately needed, I knew I would have to leave. "Rattlers’ have no mind to share," he whispered with a stare. I could keep right on going was all that he cared.

My thought to pull my trusty Colt forty-five and skin him alive was only that. As I eyed him, he sat up and spat straight at my eyes. He’d seen too many cowboys and now he was wise that I would try to steal his hide.

The scales on his hide a belt he could make, worth more than the money in my pocket, could I shake. I had him in my sight, thinking what a dinner I would have tonight. I pulled the trigger thinking that I could take him, when all of a sudden he jumped straight up at me. He grabbed my saddlebag and hung on, with his eyes glaring at mine, telling me to move on and leave him behind.

We were staring eye to eye, with him daring me to try. I sat there shaking and reading his mind. He was saying” Put down your gun, and I’ll release my bite. My hide, I am sure I will keep it tonight.”

Shaking in my tattered chaps, I rattled my old lucky spurs loud and hard. They were rusted on my old cowboy boots, as I prayed that this trick would work. If it didn’t, then I wouldn’t have a bite to eat or any place to sleep.

This fight I was in for I did not want, so I jangled them like a rattlesnake. The sound they made were of an old rattler looking for a fight. That was the last thing that I wanted tonight.

His response was to let go and slither away, not looking back sure that I wouldn’t stay. I hadn’t thought about my next move, I just picked up my gun and shot him through the head just praying and hoping that he was dead.

Dismounting my dear old horse I said, “Dude, you’d better pray that he is dead.” Dude nickered with a sigh knowing that I had a good eye and could shoot a fly right off a can.

I strode over to the snake and poked him with a long old stake; waiting for him to shake that tail that I feared, but as I looked down I could see that he was dead.

His Spirit lie there waiting for me to give thanks; and offer him to the Sun. His only wish was to let his Spirit be one with the world as his thoughts disappeared. For in the game of life, it is an honor to preserve life if you lose the game. He knew that it was time to lose his life.

I immediately pulled out my trusty old knife and carefully skinned his hide and as I admired it, I hung it out to dry. His meat was nice and tender and just what I needed; for I hadn’t had a decent dinner since I left my wife back home for the night.

God's Children

A Sunday school teacher decided to have her young class memorize one of the most quoted passages in the Bible, Psalm 23. She gave the youngsters a month to learn the verse.

Little Rick was excited about the task - but he just couldn't remember the Psalm. After much practice, he could barely get past the first line.

Then came the day that the kids were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of the congregation. When it was his turn, Rick stepped up to the microphone and said proudly;

"The Lord is my Shepherd, and that's all I need to know."

The congregation all laughed and clapped for little Rick. He took a bow and went to sit down. Susie stood up and said; "The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want." Just then little Rick stood up and said; "Hey, wait a minute why shouldn't I want, doesn't God want me to have everything that I want?"

He was very serious so the congregation grew silent and waited for the Sunday School teacher to answer his question. The teacher stepped up to the microphone and said;

"Yes, little Rick God does want you to have the things that you need and yes, sometimes the things that you want."

Little Rick said; "Now, what else does God have to say from the Bible?"

The teacher motioned Tommy up to recite a sentence from Psalm 23. Tommy took his place in front of the microphone and cleared his throat so loudly that the speakers screeched loud enough for everyone to hold their ears but they all had a good laugh about it.

Tommy took a step back and began reciting the rest of Psalm 23. He said; "He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters."

He turned to hand the microphone to Ronnie when little Rick took the microphone and said clearly; "Why would God make me lie down in the green grass if I'm not tired and then lead me to the still waters if I am not thirsty."

It seems that little Rick was thirsty for the knowledge from the Bible in Psalm 23. Ronnie walked up and took the microphone from little Rick and said; "If you will listen to all of it, you might learn something. God just wants you to rest and have a drink of fresh, clear water."

He continued; "He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake."

"See little Rick !" Ronnie began, "He let you rest so that you wouldn't be tired and, then he took you in his path into his arms, for his name is God and he loves you." Little Rick nodded like he understood what Ronnie was saying.

Patty stepped up for her verse. She recited; "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

Little Rick shuffled his feet for a moment while his eyes filled widely with terror and said out loud; "Man, there ain't no one gonna lead me through the shadows of death, I'm gettin' outa’ here!"

Little Rick bumped into Patty knocking her down as he jumped across the alter and ran for his life out of the Church and ran all the way home. The Church congregation didn't know whether to laugh or to cry.

The Sunday School teacher stepped up and said; “If that doesn't scare the devil out of him, I don't know what will." The congregation laughed nervously thinking this little memory game had gone down the tubes.

By then Patty had picked herself up off of the floor and dusted off her pretty little pink dress and proceeded to recite Psalm 23 word for word without anyone else interrupting.

"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Patty smiled sweetly and bowed. The congregation clapped for her and then Ronnie stepped up and said;

"I don't know about you guys but I was just about to run home with little Rick. Then God says that I have to eat with my enemies and wants to pour oil over my head. I hope to God, that goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life after going through all of that. I think that we deserve to live in the house of the Lord for ever after enduring every thing that we would have to do."

The Sunday School teacher took the microphone and apologized for not explaining what Psalm 23 really meant to the children. She said that she was just trying to get them to memorize parts of the Bible. She was laughing and crying at the same time and said;

"I really don't know what convinced me to be a Sunday School teacher but, I have learned one thing and that is to make sure that the children understand where Bible came from. It is made from stories from long ago, and the verses were written by men just as the men in the Church. I will go to little Rick's house now; I believe that I have some serious explaining to do."

This story was started by Big Daddy Cash and I finished the story after about the first two sentences.

Wild Horses

'Cowboy' is my name and ropin' is my game. Riding old Dusty we searched by day watching for the many wild mustangs. We ride endlessly throughout the day and into the dusk, not finding the trail that we must, herding mustangs that you can't trust.

Contracting cowboys are hard, tough ridin' men working for payday from the Boss for food and fun and life that they trust. Sorrels, paints, chestnuts and black in color we watch quietly for the stampeding of the stud leading his band of mares. Today was a bust for there was not a whinny from one mustang hoss.

Sitting by the fireside and listening to the men, the six of us exchanged tales of all our wanderlust. Hearing the crackling fire and brewing up a stew we anxiously await for our portion of grub. A knicker from 'Old Tango' tied beside my horse alerted us to an uncertain noise as we quietly pointed to Tom to check out the intruder.

As he crept to the horses we uttered not a word, waiting for some of the mustangs from the herd. Tom swung his lasso through the wind as it bent and whistled he dropped it over the head of a young filly. She reared up and pawed the air, kicking and bucking and screaming for the stud. Not one of us could be heard as they wrangled and fought one another with the force of emotions from filly to man to lessen his hold.

Tom let out a low whistle meaning to craw into the horses without a sound. Ducking and cursing the tree limbs that surrounded us, we managed to sneak up to a wonderful sight. There stood Tom hanging on for dear life, his little filly didn't want to be part of his generous life.

A scream throughout the night was heard as the stud came crashing along the trail with the restless mares. No time for laughter, not even a rope, we jumped onto our horses and surrounded the nosey little filly corraling her into the middle.

As luck would have it we had left our gear still on the horses for fear of a stampede into the morning light. A few hours earlier they were looking for the lost baby in the herd. 'Midnight Black' we named the stud because he was massive and looked as mean as a big wild cat. The filly was dragging Tom by now and he was yelling as loud as the mean stud.

We surrounded the filly and caught her with ease as Tom threw his rope right over the stud. Holding onto him with all his might he stayed with Midnight Black for the entire fight. Tom was twisting and turning and writhing in pain as he held onto the rope for as long as he could.

His leather gloves were wearing thin as he walked his hands up the rope to the horses' neck and with a leap he was on Midnight Blacks' back. The stud was raring, bucking and screaming as Tom was fearfully holding on for his life.

Midnight Black had never encountered a man so strong and determined before. He fought with all his might to rid himself of this giant form of a man named 'Cowboy.' Tom struggled to stay astride his best with all of his might. He wrapped his arms around his neck and entwined his gloves in the longest mane that he had ever felt. Midnight Black was wearing out and began to slowly burn out.

Tom regained his strength and smoothly and quietly righted himself on the stud. He spoke soft words of love and the wild Midnight Black began to understand that he liked the wranglin' man on his back. He stopped for a moment and remembered his fright when he gave a buck that threw Tom a full foot into the whistling air. With the wind knocked out of him Tom landed against the stud of his dreams and decided to ride out this circus of and man and equine.

Cowboys were closing in to surround the Midnight Black and back him into the old corral. Tom nodded to move to the side as he laid his head on the stud with a wicked smile. He knew that he had won the fight and that Midnight Black was back with a fight.

They jumped and flew through the air with one last fight to make it fair. Tom rode his prize into the 'Okay Corral' and friends of Tom's closed the gate with a sigh of relief because it was so late.

Tom dismounted and left the rope dangle, softly stroking him with the end of the rope. Midnight Blacks' eyes were blazing but you could tell that he was truly amazing. He pawed the ground and knickered with a laugh. You could tell he was ornery but had a sense of fairness and fondness for the man who had truly fought him back.

Nowadays you can see the stud running the herd with Tom riding bareback, the two of them leading the wild gang into the 'Okay Corral' to be tamed and gentled with loved. Tom had found his mount to be fair and light of flight. Midnight Black worked hard day and night for his food. Trusting Tom he kept his word that he would work for his love and his food understanding the bond between one man and the love he so depended upon.

Many a filly and a colt can be found throughout the land on your farm or with Midnight Blacks' old background. If you find one who is rank and mean, remember Tom and Midnight Blacks' night of dreams as they fought to lead and learned that they could become a wonderful team.

A dream that everyone could own a horse and have some fun with, large ones, mean ones and ones that were fair, Midnight Black remembers he was once there.

Thank him for your horse because he is the Gand Daddy of all men's equine friends. Gentle your horse and treat him with love because Midnight Black is watching from above.

Live For the Moment

Live for the Moment

I would say to you, to take life easy day to day.
If that is too difficult, live for the moment.

That is all that matters what is happening in
this time and space.

All of your worries and fears will be allayed if you will believe
in you.

For today is such a small spectrum of your time; which builds upon all other experiences in your journey through life.

What is important is the love that you give to you; to complete
the circle of unending love given to you from God above.

Feeling Your Touch

Feeling Your Touch

When you touch me I tingle with love,
Your gentleness is from Heaven above.
I feel your love as you caress me in
your arms and, know that you love me
and all my charms.

My heart sings with songs of love as you
stroke my hair.
I close my eyes thinking of you and relax
in your arms.

My world calms and cascades around
me with peacefulness and love as your
gentle touch transforms me with love.

Created With Love

Created with Love

Our Creator began by making a beautiful planet and named it Earth.
He saw beauty in the trees, the lakes, the mountains and the valleys.
He added a multitude of animals to inhabit this place called Earth and
saw his creation a piece of work.

He looked into the ocean and saw his reflection and thought he would
make man in his perfection and called him Adam; having done this he
created a woman named Eve, to be a partner to procreate his perfection.

He watched as they grew accustomed to their surroundings giving them
a gift of love which he gently called “choices.”
He made a tree that bare beautiful red fruit but forbade his likeness to
partake of it’s beauty with a warning of knowledge that they would soon
learn to regret.
He gave them a choice not to eat of the tree, or their punishment would
be for all of eternity.
Eve was wandering around and came upon the beautiful tree full of red
fruit; when a serpent dared her to partake of the shiny red apple and just
take a small taste of it.

Being a woman Eve couldn’t resist the beautiful color and the smell in the
beautiful morning Mist.
Breaking off a beautiful red apple from the tree she hid it behind her ;
as her Beloved had been searching for her in their beautiful space and had
come to find her.

She held the shiny red apple up to his face and lovingly bit into it just a
small bite.
Smiling she handed the apple to him, while he backed up knowing it was
wrong to partake of the beautiful fruit Eve was offering him.
Coyly, she smiled and took a bite and put the small piece into his mouth.

Our Creator grew sad because they failed the test of ‘choice,’ having been
warned of the consequences that came with remorse.
He opened their eyes to all they could see and bade them farewell with a
punishment of pain when giving birth to their offspring would become unbearable
for Eve to withstand.

Our Creator watched as they gave birth to two sons. He lovingly watched them as
they grew up quickly, not liking one another.
Later as they grew older one chose to take the life of the other one.
This broke God’s heart to see such hatred from the choice of Adam and Eve partaking
of the apple tree.

Sitting on high, he allowed Earth to grow and prosper as he watched how man
and woman developed in groups of people who would share in the mistake of
the choice of the pair he so lovingly prepared.
As the Earth filled with people our Creator shed a tear, and sent us Angels to
remind us he is near.

His love is never ending, yet he was surprised by his experiment of life and
how his likeness began to make many choices.
Choices of love, greed and gentleness were just a few that he tolerated with trust.

War began and he was sad how little man had learned from his dreams of a
perfect world full of love and light without ever thinking they would fight with
one another.

Now he watches and prays for our sins forgiving us lovingly, knowing the word
‘choices’ was a word that unknowingly would develop into lessons that we
must learn until we return home to the light to be with God the Father.

Rewards will be mighty, yet many will feel the pain that they caused others and
feel it as they are judging themselves as they lived their life.
Loving actions will fill the heart with joy knowing they shared their
light with the world.

Give of yourself freely and experience how love feels as you live
your life, until it is time for you to shed your body and become light and energy
once again when you return to God the Father.

''Rosalee'

I know I'm an old woman it's plain to see,

But that's not who I am when you're looking at me.

I am that little girl named Rosalee, with long brown hair dangling down my back.

People said I was quite a brat, but I don't think I was really all that.

I am strong-willed it's plain to see.

I know what you're thinking when you're looking at me.

I used to be pretty so I was told, but you'd never know it now that I'm old.

I look in the mirror, and who do I see?

That same child named Rosalee.

Though wrinkles march across my face,

Rosalee, as a child I still embrace.

'A True Friend'

A true friend is one whom you can rely on
when times are hard and you feel like crying.
A true friend will walk through life with you
through laughter, sadness and denial.
A true friend will be truthful without causing
pain, only to be there to help you up once again.
Cherish your friendship for there is a bond that
none can claim.

'Dis-Ease of The Body'

Sitting in Church on Sunday morning we had a
guest Speaker talking about Disease.

He devided the word Disease into two syllables,
calling it Dis-Ease.

He described it as when we are ill, it is because
our Souls are at Dis-Ease with God.

I listened to him and my heart began questioning
his sermon.
How can this be if we are sick, yet close to God;
choosing to pray and live life as God tells us too?

Isn't our Soul just making it's home in an Earthly body
to experience life to teach us lessons of love and to
share our light?

When we pass over our Soul leaves it's body behind
to return to dust and our Soul goes back to whence
it came from.

No one is sick just because they are not right with God,
but simply because our bodies are weak.

Our bodies are just made of flesh and our Soul lives on
and on forever.

Why must we bring ourselves down by blaming Disease
on our selves, when believing in God has nothing to do
with it.

When our time is up, God calls us Home to share in all
his Glory, not because we are at Dis-Ease with him.

God loves us as his Children and does not make our
bodies sick just so that we may go Home to him.

When it is our time, we will pass away due to illness
or an accident; and God is waiting for us with his arms
wide open to receive us.

Never blame your self for being ill, these bodies are
sometimes in poor health, yet our Soul is strong.

So please believe in God and, if he isn't ready for
you to return Home then you will become well again.

Love your self for who you are and, take care of your
self knowing that you did not bring on any illness
because you were not right with God.

When the Sermon was over I questioned the Pastor
about his belief and he said, "It is your choice to believe
how you believe and, it is my choice to believe in my
thoughts of God and Dis-Ease.

I didn't change his mind right then, but I bet when he
sleeps on it and, prays about it then he will see things
my way.

The Bible says, "He who believeth in me shall enter into
the Kingdom of God."

If you are sick and depend on God in prayer; you can rest
assured that he will be there to catch you when you fall.

Trust in his Name and his will shall be done.

'Disaster 9-11'

'Disaster 9-11'

Watching the drama unfold of 911 on the dawn of a beautiful day, my heart filled with sorrow.

Tears flowed for the terror that may await us for tomorrow.

Sadness and horror gripped my heart as I watched in horror the start of a heart-breaking scene, knowing in my heart the terror of those who had been passengers and the occupants at the scene.

Firefighters, policemen and unknown hero's, entered willingly to risk their lives to save those so desperate to escape for their lives.

As we watched and prayed to God, our hearts sank for those who were lost.

The Attack on America shattered our belief, that hatred and War were mere thoughts of what happened to those in the War.

Having seen the horrendous acts of terrorism I must ask myself," Am I my brother's keeper, or his foe?"

Deep in your heart the answer you know.

'Memory of A Child'

MEMORY OF A CHILD

Bring me a child so I can see her face

her eyes so bright and full of grace.

My arms reach out to feel her embrace,

bringing back memories of my daughter so dear,

whom I've out lived for many a year.

My dreams are of her, I can see her face,

the memory of her; age can never erase.

Though I grow feeble and dwindle away,

the light of my life in my heart she will stay.

I see her standing at the foot of my bed,

bathed in a white light shimmering away.

She smiles at me and holds out her hand,

I leave my body engulfed in the light;

such joy I feel I'm in heaven tonight.

I bid you farewell old friends of mine,

I'll see you soon when it is your time.

Such peace I feel, fear death no more.

I'll see you in heaven with no pain,

and hold you in my arms once again.

'Idle Chatter'

'IDLE CHATTER'

As you sit near, you hear me say,

"Did you forget to wash today?'

Dry the dishes and go to bed.

Put out the cat, you better obey!

I mutter and mumble, don't know

What I say.

Please utter a prayer for me today.

You look at me so feeble with age,

You shake your head and don't know

What to say.

Just touch my hand and share your light,

And then I know I'll be all right.

In my mind as I wander away, I long for

Things of yesterday.

'Pearls In The Sand'

Universal thoughts transpire as you look at me not truly knowing how deep our feelings could be, as deep as the pearls in the ocean deep or lying in the sand and the heat.

Emotions of love and passion gamble among the reactions of what your heart shows and our actions to one another as our love grows.

Deep in our soul within and without lies the truth waiting for true love to find it’s way out.

Learning to live with one another’s faults, we wait to see if true love results.

Deep in the ocean there lies a pearl that has the wisdom for your answers to unfurl. The softness and the effervescent glow give way to your answer as you look within.

Our love will grow and shine as the pearl is waiting to be found.

Love is blind, yet you can see; you can feel and know that we are meant to be.

Time is precious and true friendship is hard to find as you look into my eyes and see what lies behind my smile and hopes to begin.

Day’s and nights blend as one, as our love unwinds we become one, your eyes smile at me, and my heart melts with love.

Emotions and reactions all come into play as we find our love grows stronger for one another each day.

Remember the pearl as it weathers the storm lying within its shell, waiting to be found and polished as well.

My love will never weaken with time, I am yours and you are mine.

Holding me close to your heart, I feel safe within and know that our love will never end.

Peace and harmony we have found just as the perfect pearl in the sand.

Touching is the secret of holding love in your hand, as precious as the pearl in the sand.

Your heart melts and laughter
befalls all that are blessed with this

'Playing In the Sand'

Still small with dark curly hair I loved to play in the sun.
Sitting in the sand box and building a castle, I dreamed one day
of living a life of lying in the Sun, soaking up the rays and having fun.

I grew older and understood that life was not about playing in the sand;
living in a castle and having fun in the sun.

Then one day I met a Prince who stood over me while lying in the sand.
I glanced up at the shadow above me, feeling my heart beating madly as he held
out his hand.

We looked into each other's eyes as I took his hand; then we laughed as we ran
remembering the days of playing in the Sun.

We instantly bonded and felt that feeling of love knowing that one day our
children would be playing in the Sun.

'That's My Da-a--ddy'

Yesterday my husband and I were driving
through the beautiful country side looking
for flowers in bloom and new leaves unfurled.

All of a sudden my husband stopped and
turned the car around and then parked.

With his mouth open as if he were surprised
and not saying a word he pointed his finger
at a man in a field standing in the midst of
some sheep. He said, "Look at that man!"

This man seemed to be concentrating
on one sheep and I watched in awe
not knowing if I should make a peep or
just look away.

We drove into the driveway where the
man must live and I knocked on the
door hoping that someone was inside.

Much to my surprise a young boy about
nine years old opened the door with
white curly hair and said, "Yes-s, what's the
mat-ter?"

I explained to him that there was
a man in his field with his sheep and
that perhaps he might want to tell
his Daddy.

He smiled with pride and said, "Oh,
that-t's okay, that-t's just my Da-a-ddy!"

'We the People; United We Stand'

We the people united we stand, shoulder to shoulder holding one another’s hand.
We the people the melting pot of the world are standing idly by as the War is unfurled.

We the people 'Big Brothers of all Countries' can not sit and watch as our young people, our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters fall onto a foreign soil not to come home. Some are maimed by the War forever not to walk again, or even perhaps not to talk always watching their back afraid of what is to come.

How much hatred and violence must they experience before their minds become sick with a terrible fear that they can not bear.
How many loved ones do we need to lose until we stand up to the President and say, "Enough is enough."

End the War; bring our people home before we lose our most precious prize, 'Dignity and Pride' for the Love of our people.'

'Dignity and Pride,' our people whom we love so much are giving their lives for weapons not to be found. Oil wells to be burned despite our countries need; still
we stay and fight quite needlessly.

We the people want our 'Dignity and Pride' to step up and let the people of Iran run their own Democracy and stop playing Chess with one another’s men.
We the people must speak our mind and when it comes time to vote change our President's mind.

We the people are just as responsible for not forcing the President’s hand to sign an agreement to step out of Iran and Afghanistan.
Bring our soldiers home back to their jobs, back to their loved ones before one more Soldier falls on foreign soil only never to come home, and stand and tell all about the needless War.

Our soldiers have spoken; and want to come home, saying the War is not playing a game; spoken words of hatred and shame.
How can we win when Suicide bombers are at every turn waiting for us or their own people to be burned?

We the people must step up to the front and speak loudly and clearly saying, “Mr. President, admit that you are wrong. Your intentions to keep this War ongoing is so terribly wrong."

We the people must band together and sign petitions, and write to our Senators to end the siege that has befallen many of our very own men, who have children, wives and families left to make it on their own without their loved ones to come home.

We the people have a voice if we are brave enough to speak out; and not to sit back as we watch the War killing both women and children from Iran and Afghanistan; people who can’t stand and fight for themselves.

We the people owe it to our own men to stand and fight on our own land with words of shame and disdain against a War that needs ended this very day.
Stand up and clap if you agree that banded together we can bring our soldiers home and honor them with love and gentle care for all they have witnessed and had to bear.
Come together and help end this war so that our families can be together once more.

Sincerely,
Tamara Lesley

'Kisses of Love'

Whisper softly in my ear those sweet words I love to hear.
Hold me gently in your arms, so I can feel your love,
your heart beat, and all your charms.

Kiss my lips with all your love sending chills from Heaven above.
Say you love me and tell me I am yours, to love and cherish forever more.
Dance the dance of love with me, blending our Spirits as you feel me breathe.

My love for you has no end; it’s only your love upon which I depend.
I am sending you kisses of love to let you know what I am
trying to convey.

You are my lover, my best friend and the man in my life upon whom I depend.
I love you with all my heart sending you kisses of love until
you return home tonight.

'Reincarnation'

If reincarnation is a fact, I would choose to come back.
I would prepare in my Mother's womb, an outlook on life
that would assume a life of love and inquisitiveness.

I would open my eyes wide at birth and then give the Doctor
a little smirk, a small cry at the lights so bright;
and then a smile to begin my life.

Knowing what lay ahead, I would plan a life so grand that
each life I touched would remember me;
and know how I had touched their life so tenderly.

Looking back one more time I knew in my heart that love was mine;
to share and cherish with others so dear, a blink of an eye
and a day of cheer.

Reincarnation is a fact, but proving it cannot be exact.
Each beginning is a new life to finish sharing love and light,
learning lessons and showing God that I share his light.

'Promise Me Love; Show Me No Lying Eyes'

At the alter you said, “I do,” meaning that you would be true to me, and I to you.

After years of love and fun you forgot, that I was that one with love in my eyes and would be true to you.

Rock me baby in your arms, rock me baby with all your charms.
The one who loves you with all her heart, the one who trusted you from the start.

Look into my eyes and tell me no lies, for I would rather die than see your lying eyes.
Love runs deep within my veins, I’d rather forgive than our marriage change.

Tell me you love me after all, and that your mistake was your downfall.
Broken hearted though I may be, my heart still holds it's love for thee.
Promise me there will be no more, and I will forgive you and cry no more.

Questions of why and how it could happen will always haunt me as I close
my eyes to try to sleep.
Broken promises please no more; or I will have to walk out the door.

Love can only stand one pain and then I will never forgive again.
Hold me in your arms and promise me no more harm and I will forgive you as I lie in your arms.

You rock my world when I am with you. You rock my world when I am feeling blue.
You rock my world with all of your charms.

As the Angels sigh of our love growing nigh, it is up to you to rekindle our closeness from on high.
Pray for forgiveness to the one above as he is the one to rekindle our love.
I love you my darling when you are nigh.

God bless us on our journey on Earth, for you are the one I want to be with.
Rock me baby in you arms, rock me baby with all your charms.
I am your Angel and long to be the one that holds your hand eternally.

'Lifes Journey

As I journey through this life, I find it full of love and strife.
My outlook changes from day to day, rearranging the words I say.

If I am happy I spread cheer, love and light to all those who are near.
If I am down then I fear that my thoughts will drown those who are dear.

Looking upward to the sky, I look for that one star that catches my eye.
Winking in it’s golden light, I sense it’s connection through the night.
As the Universe and the moon ebbs the tide, I feel its closeness where I reside.

My feelings of love, despair and joy are controlled by my thoughts, if I allow
them to run amuck.

Life is made up of thoughts and wishes, and drives your heart to follow
where it must.

Think with love, compassion and joy. Listen to the vibration of the God
force within as it vibrates to the music that the Angels send.

On the wings of a dove oh so kind; our love could be wonderful if we would
listen not only to our mind, but to our heart that is so divine.

I must listen to the song within, cherishing each moment that the morning brings and see the light that makes my heart sing.

Quietly I look inside to feel a peace that will bring me cheer to share with others who are near praying that my love spreads peace, joy and happiness.

'A Tribute to Donald Eugene Wilcox'

Who could find such a friendSo dear?
It would be an endless Journey I fear.

The one I'm speaking of has Many names.
He is known as Father, Brother, Uncle,
Teacher, and most of all Friend.

The one most of all on his love could depend.
His laughter, his joy, his pureness of heart
has blessed our lives right from the start.

He knows no selfishness, and glows From within.
He has shared his love without ever finding fault.
He has allowed us to find our way in life watching
carefully to give a helping hand.

Our love to you our dearest friend Can only be
measured from deep within.

We know you are leaving us to go to the Light,
but our love will follow you for the rest of our life.

Your shining example we'll never forget.
The kindness you've shown all through your life has
touched so many, You are the love of our lives.

We honor and praise you for the love you have shared.
May God bless you on your Journey to him.
I know He is waiting for his Best Friend.

As you look down from Heaven above, we'll feel the
warmth from your smile and if you see us in a mess,
send us your love and say "God Bless."

'A Letter from Your Friend in Spirit, Eric Sumner'

Dear Rachel,

I loved your visit tonight. Friends mean everything, especially when you are growing up. Choose good friends and make good choices.

Be happy, take life minute by minute and you will be less stressed.
Be a lady, don’t follow in the footsteps of those that are bad influences.

Remember the things that we talked about when you were sitting in the chair
and I was on the couch. You have all the time in the world for boys, enjoy
life and love your family. Family means everything, be there for one another.
I love you and want to see you smile and be happy. I want to leave you with a poem for you to remember. Let your light shine.

I am in your heart,
I am in your eyes,
I am in your thoughts
there are no good-byes.

I will be watching over you as your Guide and best friend.

Love,
Eric Sumner

Eric Sumner was hit and killed by a drunk driver driving a large truck at a party. He became angry and drove through the crowd running down Eric in all his fury and drunkeness.

This letter was given to me from Eric Sumner through his thoughts to my daughter Rachel Farly who was one of his best friends along with Darrell Grafton.

'A Meeting At the Dog Park'

I once met an unusual man full of love for animals and people. His name was Big Daddy Cash which I found quite different.
We met at a Park where people let their dogs play together. We sat and talked for a while about our lives and where it had led us. He told me of his unusual and descriptive past and I was fascinated listening to his story.
He had lived quite an unusual life compared to other people, he had many ups and downs, compared to other people more downs than ups until recently. He had started a business and he became someone that he didn't know he could be.
People began looking up to him and wanted to learn from him. He knew that his past had made him what he had become and was thankful for his past learning experiences althought not all of them were good.
We called our dogs to us and as he was walking away he said that he would meet me back at the Park and gave me a wink. I knew then that he was a good, happy man and a flirt to go with his personality.
I was anxious to meet him again and sit and talk about our past lives as we got to know one another. As we said our good-byes he walked away and turned around a gave me a wink as if to say, "I hope to see you another day."

'Fairy Garden Pond'

It is the middle of the day and the sun is up, I am rocking in my Rocking Chair admiring my Fairy Garden Pond.

The Flowers and the bushes surround the pond filled with Koi which are my pride and joy.
The Hardy Hibiscus have bloomed in pinks, red, and white flowering lovely in the beautiful sunlight.

I sit still, listen and watch hoping to see a Fairy sitting on a Lilly Pad or even a little Frog would make me glad.
I have a Mommy Bunny that had babies in my Fairy Garden and I carefully sit still and watch them hopping under the bushes playing in the Sun.

The Ornamental Grasses stand at least seven foot tall and sway back and forth in the wind while the Finches eat the seeds so high above.

I love my time sitting in the Sun rocking gently in my old Rocking Chair thanking God above for the beauty he has bestowed upon me.

'Thoughts are Things'

Thoughts are things which come about to fruition. "Ask and ye shall receive." Think of the things that you need and the Universe will provide for you.

Love has it's way of providing for you and your loved ones. Wait and you will see if only you believe in God and the greatness of the Universe.

Trust in God and pray for what you desire. You will find that your heart is on fire with love for all that you have already been given.

Be thankful to the Lord our God and to those who surround you with love, without them life would be dull and your life would not be as full.

Remember, "Thoughts are things," which will surprise you when you least expect it to come to you. Be thankful, Love, and Trust in God and love those around you.

'Dear Mommy, written from a Newborn'

Dear Mommy,

Feeling the warmth of the womb I feel safe. I feel the movement and sounds which I do not understand or think about lying here. I have the freedom of movement, sleeping, waking up and even sucking my thumb. I am free to stretch, kick and even smile. I am in my own little world developing sensations and feeling vibrations as I lie here in your womb.

Time is passing and yet I am unaware of what awaits me. I have no knowledge of the birth process yet I feel the urge to find the right position head down after an eternity of being comfortable in this warm and cozy place.

Lulled by movement and the warmth of the womb, I am growing silently without making a sound except for a hiccup, a yawn or maybe even a frown. Sometimes I think I might be crying but I don’t know what that is.

Sensations of love and the arrival of Spirit complete me as I am receiving my Soul unaware that there is a reason for me being here in this warm and comfortable space.

My Soul has the choice to come and go as my Spirit ventures into the world leaving my body and entering at will. My Soul is on a journey unaware to the world. I cannot be seen or heard but I come into your world just to learn.

The God Source who sent me has filled me with love as my Soul is preparing for the journey of which I am awaiting.

My growth is complete and I find myself cramped when all of a sudden I am disturbed with small squeezes at first. The birth process has begun and I am concerned with what is to come. Small squeezes gradually turn into hard pushes as I fight to stay to stay in the womb with the world far away.

My senses are awakening and I am afraid, I am angry now because I want to stay. Squeezes and pushes cause my head to crown and now I can hear many strange sounds. Suddenly bright lights are all around with hands and pushes urging me to enter the world.

Sounds of my Mothers voice reach my ears as I hear her cry and rejoice for joy of giving birth to me. Many sounds of amazement and bright lights give me sensations of fright as I open my eyes and mouth to cry. Taking in a deep breath as I cry out loud surprising myself with sound. I open my eyes and look around and wonder why and what is happening to me.

My Soul has filled my heart with desire to lie next to my Mother that just delivered me here. I want to feel the warmth of her body lying next to me holding me in her arms.

My journey through life has just begun and I feel my heart filling with love for the world and everyone. Not knowing my destiny now is of no concern to me just now. I am just happy to be born and in this place they call the world of love. I love you Mommy for giving me life. Thank you God for allowing me to come to Earth.

Love,
Your Newborn Baby

'Angel at the Foot of the Bed'

I lay sleeping soundly in my bed, when I just opened my eyes.

There at the foot of my bed stood an Angel above me with

love in her heart, and tears in her eyes.

I blinked twice to realize what I was seeing was true, and I blew her a

kiss and told her that I would be alright.

I asked her to heal me and chills went down my spine, knowing

in my heart that healing was mine.

My Angel smiled and blew me a kiss, as she just disappeared before me.

I wasn't sure if I had dreamed of this lovely Angel, or if she had appeared

in my dreams.

I prayed to God that he heard my prayer and thanked him for sending his

loving Angel to reassure me of my plight, that I was well and would soon

be alright.

'There are No Good-Bye's'

Though our minds mingle through the mist of time,
I am yours and you are mine.

My light is love there is no doubt.
I swirl around you; you know I'm about.

There is tomorrow for it is today,
Fear not for I am not away.

I hold your love within my grace;
I am around you within your space.

Have no sorrow, say no good-byes,
I am in your heart, I am in your eyes,
I am in your thoughts,
There are no Good-byes.

Heartbroken, Tears and Pain

Heartbroken, tears and pain.
Floating thoughts won't go
away.
Wondering where to go, what
to do, do I pack my bags to
leave you?
Love was so deep, so strong,
but that bond has been severed
through and through.
Why did this have to happen?
You knew just how much I truly
loved you.
Can I forgive and forget one
more time or should I just leave
you behind?
Heartbroken, not knowing
what to do.
Struggling with my love that I
hold in my heart for you, I am
lost without you.
Desperation grips my mind as
I linger to decide.

Heartbroken

I am in a sad place today,
all I know to do is pray.
I went to sleep last night
and asked God not to let
me wake.
It seems that God is not
listening for my sake.
"Why not take me home God,"
I ask?
My heart has been broken
at long last.
Tell me no more lies I
plead and then you agreed.
You tell me you love me
but I detest.
How can you take my only
friend away by calling
her and showing her your
interest?
I don't know which way to
turn, do I go or do I stay?
